About
Our story:
Senet was conceived sometime between 2023 and 2024 — less a single moment than a gradual shift from idea to intent. What began as notes in the margins and sketches on napkins became something more defined: an identity rooted in a slower way of living, drawn from the serenity of life by the water.
It began, as it always does, with fabric. Materials made with care — developed by skilled makers, with a focus on true specialists. Not generalists, but mills with a clear point of view. Just as important was how those fabrics were produced: working in places with strong labor protections and responsible environmental standards.
From there, the rest followed naturally. Rooted in ease—for the rhythms of life. Crafted for the everyday, with a quiet attention to form and feel. Designed with time in mind, made to be worn.
Beliefs:
How it's made matters.
Time reveals true value. It is this belief that guides our work. Materials are chosen for their integrity and shaped with care, each proportion and detail refined until it feels inevitable.
Nothing exists without purpose. Nothing is added without reason.
This is our understanding of quality — lasting, thoughtful, and precise.
On consumption:
We believe in buying less. In choosing pieces for how they wear over time, not just how they appear at first. In materials that hold, and forms that remain relevant beyond a season. When quality is considered from the beginning, replacement becomes unnecessary. Consumption slows. Value deepens. Less becomes more—through use, through time, through care.
Where we produce:
Our collection is produced in both Canada and Portugal. Fabric mills and garment factories are in close proximity to each other. We are not shipping fabrics across the globe. Both countries offer stronger labor protections, ensuring fair wages, safe working conditions, and ethical treatment of workers. Additionally, Canada and Portugal maintain higher environmental standards, which reduces the ecological impact of textile production compared to regions with looser regulations.
